As a WA Oil and Gas Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales and business growth for ProDetec’s fire and gas detection solutions within Western Australia’s oil and gas sector. Your focus will be on engaging with engineering houses, end users, and system integrators to maintain strong existing sales, as well as to promote ProDetec's cutting-edge detection technologies and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
o Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to increase market share in Western Australia’s oil and gas industry .
o Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and an already strong passive sales base.
o Work closely with engineering firms, integrators, and end users to position ProDetec’s solutions effectively.
o Secure retrofit projects and supply for new LNG and gas processing facilities.
o Work with companies (e.g. Infinite Green Energy, ATCO, BP Kwinana Hydrogen Hub and the likes) to integrate ProDetec’s detection systems into hydrogen refuelling stations and production plants.
o Promote gas detection and fire suppression for lithium battery storage sites.
o Emphasize relationship-building and understanding customer pain points.
o Utilize extensive network within WA’s mining industry to evangelize ProDetec’s Fire and Gas offerings.
2. Technical Consultation & Support
o Provide expert guidance on fire and gas detection system design, integration, and product selection .
o Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet client specifications and industry regulations.
o Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to customers.
o Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and advancements in fire and gas detection technology .
o Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for safety compliance.
3. Strengthening Brand Awareness
o Increase visibility at AOG Energy, WA Mining Conference, and APPEA.
o Conduct webinars, white papers, and case studies showcasing ProDetec’s impact on safety in WA industries.
o Achieve or exceed sales targets, monitor key performance metrics, and provide regular forecasts.
o Prepare and submit reports on sales activities, market developments, and client feedback.
o Utilize Salesforce to qualify leads based on project timelines, budget, and decision-making authority.
o Provide a complete analysis of the WA market and where ProDetec can improve on expanding our footprint and how we can be successful in WA.
4. Future Expansion
o Establishment of a complete WA-based office and warehouse, with both full sales and service capabilities, once certain sales targets have been achieved.
o Possibility of promoting other principals within the ProDetec product portfolio.
o Growth within the organisation, into managerial roles, leading the planned WA based team.
