About the role
Working as an Educator at Jabiru Taigum you will:
* Support the team to develop age-appropriate, fun and engaging activities for children in the OSHC program
* Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
* Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children
* Maintain a clean and organised environment for the OSHC program
* Assist with administrative tasks as needed
About you
Along with experience as a Program Educator, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about their work. Your positive attitude and experience will allow you to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that is fun, safe and nurturing for children.
You will also have:
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to work well in a team
* Patience and empathy when working with children
* Knowledge of child development principles
You will have the following qualifications or be studying toward:
* Completed Cert 3 or Diploma in Outside School Hours Care or Early Childhood Education and Care
* Completed Cert or Diploma in Teacher Aide/Education Support
* 1-year full time equivalent in studying any of the following qualifications: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Speech Pathology, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Sport and Recreational
* Current Blue Card, First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain
* Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset
