**Commercial Contract Manager**
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Commercial Contract Manager to join an organisation during a period of growth and transformation.
This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all commercial, contractual and pricing activities across multiple projects, ensuring strong governance and commercial discipline throughout the full tender lifecycle.
This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding project margins through accurate cost estimation, robust commercial controls, and proactive risk management. It also provides leadership and oversight to procurement and contracts.
* Lead all commercial and contract management activities across projects from tender through execution and close-out.
* Develop, review, and approve cost estimates, pricing models, and commercial assessments to ensure accuracy and margin protection.
* Manage tender submissions, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to minimise commercial and operational risk.
* Oversee post-award contract administration including variations, claims, change control, extensions and contractor performance.
* Conduct financial modelling and risk analysis for project bids and operational contracts.
* Provide commercial insights, performance reporting and forecasting to senior leadership and project teams.
* Drive continuous improvement across estimating, pricing, and contract management processes to enhance accuracy, compliance, and profitability.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
* Proven experience in a Commercial/Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts/Estimating role within mining, civil, or construction industries.
* Strong understanding of contract law, commercial frameworks, procurement processes, and risk management principles.
* Demonstrated capability in estimating, tendering and bid management for major projects (ideally from the Contractor side).
* High financial acumen with the ability to analyse cost structures, model project margins, and interpret complex data.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law or a related field (highly regarded).
