Role Overview This role will work within the Systems, Integration and Operations (SIO) area of the Warfighting Networks and Applications Support Organisation (WSO), ICT Delivery Division, Chief Information Officer Group, Department of Defence.
Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and manage the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes (including automation and continuous integration) to create a robust integration framework. Develop concept and capability in alignment with technical requirements. Develop low-level architecture and implement solutions as per agreed. Contribute to the development and maintenance of artefacts such as Build Guides, As-Built-As-Configured Documents, Standard Operating Procedures. Contribute to the development of system integration policies, standards, and tools. Collaborate with vendor/supplier specialists to provide solutions and optimise designs to achieve expected outcomes. It is expected that the candidate may not be familiar with certain technologies or products, but will be able to gain a working knowledge rapidly based on their prior knowledge and experience. Work with peers in a highly collaborative and high-performing team. Report to the Development Technical Lead in relation to status of activities, identified risks, and task completion at a high enough level to allow upward communication through the organisation. Minimum Requirements Over 5 years experience in implementing large scale, geographically distributed systems on Wintel and Linux platforms. Strong Windows administration and troubleshooting experience. Strong cyber security focus in design, implementation and support; experience with and strong understanding of the following technologies/methodologies is essential: VMWare VCF Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Microsegmentation solutions, including VMWare NSX-T, Nutanix Backup and Data protection, including HYCU, VEEAM Experience in developing solutions for private cloud and/or multi-tenancy.
