HorizonOne Recruitment is partnering with Icon Water to recruit new team members into their Digital Technology Group.

Icon Water, a wholly owned ACT Government entity, manages essential water and sewerage services for Canberra. The organization also invests in electricity and gas, aiming to achieve net zero emissions by 2045.

The Opportunity

As Icon Water continues its digital transformation journey, this permanent role will be part of the dedicated Change Team. You will guide employees through change, strengthen organisational capability and ensure digital projects deliver lasting outcomes.

In this role you will:

- Apply a well‑established change management model to support people through transformation and drive successful adoption of new digital solutions.
- Lead the development and delivery of change plans, communications, workshops and engagement activities that help employees understand the change and transition confidently to future‑state processes and systems.
- Build strong relationships across both office‑based and field‑based teams, ensuring stakeholders are supported, informed, and actively involved in shaping the success of each change initiative.

The Role

- Apply the Change Management Model to manage the people side of change, collaborating with stakeholders and enabling employees to transition from the current state to the future state.
- Mentor and collaborate with the wider Change Team to ensure alignment across the broader change program.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and work closely with stakeholders, Project Managers, senior leaders and Executive Sponsors.
- Complete stakeholder mapping and change impact assessments to understand impacts and guide planning.
- Develop explicit and engaging change communications to support employees through the transition.
- Facilitate workshops, engagement sessions and collaboration activities to support understanding and adoption.

The Ideal Person

You are a highly experienced change management professional with strong leadership capability and outstanding communication skills. You enjoy working with a close‑knit team and naturally collaborate with others. You can listen to understand, break down complex technical information into clear, engaging messages, and combine analytical thinking with strong problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Backgrounds in IT, HR, communications, or a related field are acceptable; what matters most is hands‑on change management experience at a senior manager level (Big4 equivalent). Consulting or large commercial experience where you supported significant change initiatives is a plus.

Salary / Rate

Base salary starts at $147,838 plus 15% superannuation.
