Warrnambool Bowls Club is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and play a key role in the ongoing success of the Club.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys structure, accountability, and consistency, while still having the freedom to develop menus, themed nights, and specials that drive customer engagement.
About the Role
* Lead daily kitchen operations and food service standards
* Develop seasonal menus and themed dining events
* Manage food cost, labour, and stock control to budget targets
* Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff
* Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
* Cater for bistro trade, functions, and major Club events
* Prepare structured monthly reports for management and the Board
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Solid understanding of food cost, labour efficiency, and stock control
* Ability to plan ahead with costed rostering and menu cycles
* Experience in club, pub, or high-volume hospitality preferred
