Chief Executive Officer (Part-time, 2–4 days per week)
Australian New Zealand Biochar Industry Group (ANZBIG)
About ANZBIG
The Australian New Zealand Biochar Industry Group (ANZBIG) is the peak body representing the biochar industry across the region. We provide advocacy, education, networking, and leadership to accelerate the adoption of biochar as a critical solution for soil health, carbon sequestration, waste management, and the circular economy.
About the Biochar Industry
Biochar is one of the fastest-growing sustainability solutions in the world, with increasing uptake across agriculture, waste management, carbon markets, and climate strategies. Recognised for its ability to store carbon, improve soils, and recover value from waste, biochar sits at the intersection of multiple industries. In Australia and New Zealand, biochar is emerging as a strategic enabler for biofuels, bioenergy, composting, fertiliser, and regenerative agriculture.
This is an exciting time to lead ANZBIG. The global momentum and policy support for biochar are growing rapidly, and Australia is well placed to become a regional leader in scaling its production, use, and integration with other clean technologies.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead ANZBIG into its next stage of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership, drive advocacy, build partnerships, and secure the resources needed to strengthen ANZBIG's position as the leading authority on biochar.
This is a part-time position (2–4 days per week).
