BINGO industries are looking for a Financial Accountant this is an exciting opportunity working out of our Head Office in Auburn.
Please note this role is a 6 month FTE contract with the opportunity to convert to permanent.
Role & Responsibilities
* Identify manual and repetitive tasks within the finance function and propose solutions for automation.
* Contribute to system enhancement projects, including documentation of processes and testing of changes.
* Assist in embedding more efficient workflows using tools such as Excel, Power Query, or other automation platforms.
* Ensure completion of month-end journals, reconciliations, and reporting tasks in line with the Group's financial close timetable.
* Maintain accuracy of financial data through robust balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Support preparation of monthly management reports and ensure consistency with accounting standards and policies.
* Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations, identify mismatches, and liaise with counterparties to resolve variances.
* Perform intercompany invoicing and reconciliations.
* Maintain a clear audit trail and documentation for all intercompany transactions.
* Monitor daily bank balances and assist in cash flow forecasting.
* Assist with bank reconciliations and account maintenance.
What Makes You a GOgetter
* CPA or CA qualified
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting
* Hands-on experience with month-end close, including journal preparation, reconciliations, and reporting
* Exposure to treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
* Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation or system improvements
* Strong working knowledge of month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliations
* Understanding of treasury functions such as bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
* Awareness of automation tools and techniques
* Previous use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is essential
* Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 skills (Excel knowledge essential)
