Job Overview
Our organization seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Care for the Elderly unit.
This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to elderly patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients, families, and communities, utilizing knowledge of basic principles of nursing based on biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences.
* Apply evidence-based practice and nursing theory in care delivery, making sound judgments to ensure best possible patient outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve desired health outcomes.
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body.
* Current license to practice registered nursing in the state.
* At least one year recent experience in area of practice (for per diem RNs).
* Two years of related RN experience required for all float positions; for critical care, experience must include intensive and/or coronary care; for telemetry, experience must include telemetry.
* Additional related previous experience and/or preparation may be required for specialty units.
Preferred Qualifications
* Basic Life Support certification.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within six months and maintain current card.
Physical Demands
* Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
