Precious Cargo
location in St Peters. This part-time role offers a vibrant environment where you will support children's meals and contribute to daily operations.
Responsibilities
Assist the chef/cook with food preparation.
Cover the chef in their absence.
Prepare trolleys for classroom use.
Wash dishes/loads dishwasher and put dishes away.
Maintain the kitchen in a clean and tidy manner.
Carry out cleaning duties as per the kitchen checklists.
Assist with cooking lessons for the children.
Aware of all children's dietary needs.
Assist in maintaining stock levels.
Takes reasonable care to protect their own safety in the workplace and avoid adversely affecting the health, safety and welfare of any other person.
Qualifications
Proven experience within a kitchen – either in a childcare centre or hospitality venue.
Works well in a team environment and demonstrates flexibility & adaptability.
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders.
Follows instructions and demonstrates initiative whilst in the kitchen.
Reliable, punctual and has a broader understanding of the contribution this position makes to the smooth operation of our Centre.
Takes great pride in the quality of their work.
