This Opportunity:
This is a critical advisory role for a seasoned HR Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment. You will provide expert guidance and support across a wide range of HR functions, ensuring compliance, consistency and best practice across the business.
Your focus will include recruitment strategy, employee relations, mobilisation coordination and workforce planning aligned to project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of relevant employment legislation, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
Support and influence leaders across all levels in managing employee relations issues, grievances and disciplinary matters.
Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for both white- and blue-collar roles across workshop, metro, and FIFO projects.
Support the coordination of mobilisation logistics in line with project requirements.
Contribute to HR strategy by supporting workforce planning, succession planning and talent pipelines.
Facilitate pre-employment processes including medicals, compliance documentation, inductions and contract generation.
Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and systems.
Maintain and report accurate HR metrics and workforce data to support operational decision making.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, site-based teams, and external partners.
Conducting staff reviews to set goals, track progress, and support growth, including maintaining a skills matrix and coordinating training programs.
Overseeing performance management, including addressing behaviour or performance issues, issuing warnings, and facilitating terminations when needed.
About you:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a senior HR or generalist role, ideally within the construction, fabrication, mining or heavy industrial sector.
Proven ability to interpret and apply IR frameworks including Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Demonstrated success in managing recruitment and mobilisation for project-based workforces.
Ability to work under pressure and mange competing priorities with high attention to detail.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with major resource clients is desirable but not essential.
