Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned WHS Officer to lead and implement safety initiatives across NSW. As a critical member of our team, you will play a key role in enhancing our safety culture and driving incident investigations.
This is an opportunity for an experienced WHS professional to take their skills to the next level, train teams, conduct site visits, and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement HSEQ strategies in collaboration with regional safety colleagues.
* Design and deliver comprehensive WHS training programs, including new starter inductions and equipment training.
* Perform regular site visits to verify compliance with WHS standards.
* Lead engaging toolbox talks and workshops.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide expert advice on mitigating hazards.
* Investigate incidents and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
* Support the creation of safe work method statements and policies.
* Implement and enforce WHS legislation and policies.
About You
* You will be a safety leader who inspires and motivates others to adopt a safety-first culture.
* A Cert IV in WHS is essential for this role.
* A driver's licence is mandatory (manual or auto).
* You will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar WHS role.
* Strong knowledge and experience in WHS policies, processes, and safe systems of work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
