Role Description/Criteria
Whitefriars College offers a Catholic education for boys in the Carmelite tradition. The College is seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and innovative educator to deliver high quality teaching in Junior Maths and Science. This is a fixed-term, part-time position commencing in term 2, 2026. Whitefriars College is a Child Safe school and is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. Teachers at Whitefriars College are primarily teachers of students rather than subjects; these students, as individuals, have different strengths and weaknesses, and differing intellectual, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs. Recognition of these differences leads to good pedagogy and aligns with the school's mission. Relationships based on mutual respect, multi‐dimensional curriculum and co‐curriculum, pastoral care, and well‐conceived policies and procedures are pivotal for the holistic development of our students. Hence these responsibilities are shared by all teachers. The role of the teacher and the holistic development of the students highlights the need for teachers to take ownership of all programs, policies, protocols and interactions at Whitefriars. This is a fixed‐term, part‐time FTE, commencing 4 July 2026 and concluding 26 January 2027, covering a period of parental leave.
