We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team
Employment Type: Casual position to start, with flexibility considered for the right candidate.
Hours:
* Minimum availability required: Mondays and Tuesdays
* Additional days/hours may be available by agreement.
Role Overview:
As the Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing patient appointments, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the reception area. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
* Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
* Handle incoming calls and emails, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
* Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
* Process billing and payments, including Medicare and NDIS payments.
* Assist with the coordination of specialist referrals and follow-up appointments.
* Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming.
* Adhere to all practice policies and procedures, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Qualifications and Experience:
* No medical receptionist experience is required as full training is involved.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Advanced user proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
* Knowledge of Medicare and NDIS billing processes.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
* A team-oriented approach and the willingness to take on a mentoring role for junior staff
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
