About the Roles
Reporting to the DC/Site Manager, you'll work alongside six Team Leaders and another Operations Supervisor, overseeing a team of 15+ staff in a modern, fully air‐conditioned facility of around 60 employees. You'll play a key role in driving operational performance across inbound, storage, and dispatch functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong safety culture. This is a hands‐on role requiring you to work on the floor alongside your team and lead from the front!
Roster & Flexibility Required
Coverage is required between 5:00 am – 6:30 pm, with both roles supporting each other:
* Role 1: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (5:30 am starts when opening the site)
* Role 2: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (finishing up to 6:30 pm for late dispatch/lock‐up)
Key Responsibilities
Lead From the Front
* Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 15+ warehouse staff
* Use RF scan data and reporting to drive daily performance conversations
* Identify gaps and implement practical improvements using real‐time data
* Manage formal performance processes where required, with sound judgment on HR escalation
* Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and ensure training compliance
Own Performance & Accountability
* Manage underperformance using structured, factual approaches
* Lead formal performance processes when required
* Conduct appraisals, training, and ongoing development
Control the Operation
* Oversee inbound, storage, and dispatch operations
* Ensure system accuracy aligns with physical stock at all times
* Maintain and enforce SOPs and Work Instructions
* Complete reporting in line with operational and client requirements
Drive Standards
* Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and audit requirements
* Complete reporting, stock takes, and cycle counts as required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
What You'll Bring
You will be a hands‐on leader that sets the pace and leads by example. A coach and mentor who prides themselves in developing team members to be future leaders of a business. You will have experience utilising data through platforms such as Power BI to ensure operational excellence.
* Experience in a warehouse or DC leadership role (Supervisor or Senior Team Leader)
* Experience across both inbound and outbound operations
* Experience managing teams of 15+ staff
* Strong systems experience: SAP EWM/WM (or similar WMS such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder)
* Advanced Power BI capability – confident using data to lead decisions
* Valid LF or LO licence with a willingness to be hands‐on
* RF scanning and operator training experience
* Proven ability to manage performance and have direct, constructive conversations
* Sound judgment around HR processes and escalation
