Our client is looking for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist to join the community team ASAP for 3 months - with possible extension.
Monday to Friday (full time 38hour week)Accommodation availableDrivers licence requiredCommunity experience essential.Access to fleet cars for work purposes.The role involves:
Working with the frail aged and people with a disability to maximise independence at home.Working with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at homeDeveloping goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local communityCollaborating with other clinicians in the RAHT team to offer holistic care to clients referredWorking with a diverse range of clients and health conditions.Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the NDIS (minimal, if any)Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistants to undertake client care programs and equipment trials.Primarily home based work with some opportunity for clinic appts.Key skills required:
Adult dysphagia managementVideofluroscopiesAugmentative and alternative communication (AAC)Community experienceExperience with range of health conditions incl.
