In this role, you will support a program aimed at reducing litter in the environment through hands-on training using specialized equipment. You will be part of a casual Warehouse Team in Tweed Heads, where you will assist in collecting, sorting, and storing recyclable drink containers. Great customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members are essential for this role. A current Forklift Licence (Counter Balance) is required. On-the-job training will be provided to use specialized equipment.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service
Equipment Operation: Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers, and use a forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
Sales and Refund Transactions: Operate a point-of-sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
Additional Activities: Assist in other activities, such as housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications Include:
Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide outstanding customer service
Forklift Experience: Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
Warehouse Environment: Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently, and a thorough understanding of work, health, and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
