Overview
We are looking for a Cert III qualified Care Worker to join the Silverchain team in the Hobart, TAS area. The role involves helping older members of the community maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Provide home help services including general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Provide personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed, assisting with medications, mobility and therapy goals, and complex care for customers with high care needs (e.g., dementia).
- Provide social and emotional support and transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
- Support families by giving carers a break when needed.

Qualifications
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Certificate III or above in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Disability.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role that includes personal care, manual handling, hoist training and assisting with medications.

In the role of Care Worker, you will provide our aged care clients with home help and personal care services as outlined above.
