Salary is within the range of VIT Grade 5, $106,845 - $129,273 plus statutory super.

About the role
This role will require you to:
* design and produce high-quality visual communication materials that translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content for stakeholders, including infographics, charts and visual summaries
* manage and lead end-to-end communication projects and campaigns
* develop and deliver graphic design outputs across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, reports and presentations, ensuring a consistent visual identity and adapting content to suit different formats, channels and audiences
* plan, create, and schedule engaging content across VIT's social media platforms monitor engagement, respond to community interactions, and develop reports on performance metrics to inform strategy lead the review and ongoing monitoring of VIT's social media policy and its application
* contribute to the strategic planning for the stakeholder engagement and communications branch
* capture, edit and produce video and photographic content to support organisational storytelling, including filming and photographing events, interviews and presentations, and producing short-form videos and reels for digital and social platforms
* maintain and manage digital assets, templates and visual resources, ensuring content is appropriately stored, accessible and managed in accordance with records management and governance requirements
* collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand content needs and translate into clear, visually engaging formats
* support and uphold the organisation's branding and visual identity, ensuring all materials comply with brand standards and style guides, and contributing to the rollout of any rebranding initiatives, including development of templates and collateral
* undertake other duties as directed by Branch Manager, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Branch.
This role will involve exposure to sensitive and objectionable material relating to allegations of child abuse and neglect, and child sexual abuse.

About you
As an experienced Graphic and Social Media Content Producer, you will have sound and practical knowledge of current best‑practice visual communication, accessibility standards, and contemporary social media trends. You will have experience designing and producing high‑quality content across digital platforms — including managing social media planning, content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis — and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
You will have strong visual communication and social media skills combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record in amplifying strategic communications. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have:
* exceptional visual communication and graphic design skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible visual content across digital and print platforms
* proven experience in social media strategy and management, including planning, content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance reporting across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
* strong proficiency in design, multimedia, and video production tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Adobe Express) or equivalent
* demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver creative projects in a dynamic environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality and brand consistency
* creative problem-solving and innovation, with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance visual storytelling and digital engagement
* strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively across teams and managing expectations
* proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including web content management systems, social media, and data analytics, with a commitment to accessibility and inclusivity standards.
