We're MM Security, a national security distributor with operations across Australia. As our business grows, we're expanding our finance function and looking for an Assistant Accountant (Credit Support) to support core accounting and customer credit processes from our Clayton South National Service Centre.
This is a solid, structured accounting role, ideal for someone early to mid-career who enjoys accuracy, process and problem-solving, and wants exposure to both general ledger and credit functions.
What You'll Be Doing
• Prepare and post month-end adjustment journals
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and trial balances
• Maintain the general ledger and supporting systems
• Maintain fixed asset and lease registers, including depreciation
• Track capital expenditure
• Maintain treasury registers (Letter of Credit and foreign currency hedging)
• Support customer credit processes including new applications and increases
• Submit credit checks for assessment by the Credit Manager
• Set up customer accounts in the ERP and prepare onboarding documentation
• Allocate customer payments daily
• Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to ensure consistency

About You
You're likely a junior to mid-level finance professional who:
• Has a solid understanding of accounting principles
• Enjoys working with data, reconciliations and structured processes
• Is confident using Excel and finance systems
• Has strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
• Communicates clearly with finance and non-finance stakeholders
• May be studying toward CPA (desirable but not essential)
• Wants to grow within a stable, expanding organisation
