About the opportunity
We are currently recruiting Biosecurity Team Members to join the Fire Ant Eradication Unit the Southeast Region. This opportunity presents successful applicants with the ability to make valued contributions to the National Fire Ant Eradication Program within numerous sites in Southeast Queensland. You will be responsible for the fire ant reduction and eradication project works such as surveillance, baiting and leading various workers on the ground.
About you
The following requirements/skills are highly desired, but not required:
* Experience in undertaking visual surveillance
* Experience in bait treatment programs
* Experience in daily reporting tasks, data collection and mapping
* ACDC/Commercial Operators Licence
* Pest Management Licence
* Experience with Fire Ant Eradication programs
* Experience with ATV's & towing trailers
The following requirements/skills are required:
* A car licence
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Physically fit as this role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain
* Ability to pass a national police check
Casual Positions available but Full Time postion available for right fit.
Security Clearance - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level. This will include a National Police Check.
