LardAss Butter is a gold medal-winning cultured butter producer on the Bellarine Peninsula. We are seeking a capable and committed Dairy Production Operator to join our production team.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role within a fast-paced artisan food manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Able to safely lift up to 20kg
• Forklift licence required, or willingness to obtain before or shortly after commencement.
• Strong understanding of food safety and cleaning standards
• Experience in food production or artisan manufacturing preferred
Core Competencies
• Demonstrated foresight and ability to anticipate production needs
• Strong workload management and organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a production team.
• Ability to plan and project production requirements
• Works efficiently and maintains pace without compromising quality
• Ongoing equipment operation checks and basic maintenance, including servicing, lubrication and monitoring performance
• Excellent quality assurance checks throughout production
• Accurate maintenance of production records in line with HACCP requirements and food safety audit standards
• Takes pride in crafting an award-winning product
• Strong team player, working closely with the Production Team Leader
Key Requirements
• Experience in dairy food production (preferred)
• Relevant qualification in Dairy/Food Processing or similar (highly regarded)
Working Hours
Early starts (approximately 6am) are part of the rhythm of our production schedule. This role suits someone who values starting early and finishing early (approx. midday). This role includes rostered Sunday shifts as required to meet production schedules.
