About the Role:
The Sydney Environment Institute is a leading centre for multidisciplinary environmental and climate research. This post offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project on electricity transmission policy in Australia.
You will be part of a dynamic team working on 'Just transmission: advancing coherence in Australia's electricity policy'. The project aims to develop strategies for a just and coherent approach to constructing new electricity transmission infrastructure in Australia.
* Conduct original research as part of a team, focusing on theory development, community engagement, and co-design.
* Develop a framework and principles for theorising just transmission and energy justice.
* Refine this framework informed by community engagement.
* Implement co-design strategies for testing and shaping principles of energy justice in community workshops.
* Assist in the development of materials for public engagement, conference presentations, and academic publications.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with leading interdisciplinary scholars and develop skills that will equip you to pursue an academic and/or public sector career.
About You:
* We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in research and analytical skills.
* A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required, and experience in community engagement and co-design would be beneficial.
