Your new role

As the Industrial Relations Advisor, you will:

* Provide specialist advice on industrial relations and remuneration matters to leaders, supervisors, and People & Culture teams.
* Interpret and apply employment legislation, industrial instruments, Awards and certified agreements.
* Engage in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, including unions, on industrial matters.
* Support organisational change processes, including employee consultation, communication and implementation activities.
* Advise on the application of industrial instruments and assist leaders in addressing complex industrial matters.
* Develop training materials and deliver educational programs relating to industrial relations, compliance and risk mitigation.
* Ensure strict governance over confidential and sensitive employee and industrial relations records.
* Draft letters, contracts, industrial documents and formal submissions.
* Contribute to policy and procedure development, review and implementation.
* Conduct research, analyse data and prepare reports to support negotiations and remuneration frameworks.
* Undertake additional duties aligned to the scope of the position as required.

What you'll need to succeed

This role is ideal for an experienced industrial relations practitioner ready to apply strong judgement, technical expertise and influence in a senior advisory capacity. You will bring:

* Qualifications in Law, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field (Degree preferred; or Associate Diploma with experience; or significant experience with lesser formal qualifications).
* Demonstrated industrial relations experience, including interpreting legislation, Awards and agreements.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and present clear data insights.
* Proven ability to build effective relationships and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
* Solid understanding of workplace health and safety, psychological wellbeing and contemporary people practices.
* High‐level critical thinking, negotiation and consultation capability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong facilitation and presentation skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* High standards of confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and professional judgement.
* Adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn HR information systems.
* Willingness to undertake limited out‐of‐hours work and occasional travel.
