Total Salary Package: $305,300 to $404,970 (pro rata for part time) - Excluding Attraction and Retention Incentive
Package inclusive of Base Salary $188,151 to $254,198 + Attraction and Retention Incentive + Private Practice Scheme Allowance + On-call allowance + Medical Education Expense Allowance + Superannuation (12%)
Starting base salary will be negotiated within this classification for the successful candidate, depending on experience and expertise.

About The Role
Canberra Hospital: The Division of Women, Youth and Children (WYC) within Canberra Hospital provides a broad range of primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services with a family-centred, interdisciplinary approach.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Canberra Hospital provides tertiary level obstetrics and gynaecological services to the ACT and surrounding regions. The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children handles more than 3,700 births per year and is a level 6 referral centre for high-risk pregnancies.
North Canberra Hospital: The Women and Children Division provides inpatient, ambulatory and community care across maternity, gynaecology and neonatal services to the ACT and surrounding regions with approximately 2,000 births per year.
WYC and WC are undergoing continuous improvement to inform best practices in models of care and to ensure a safe, sustainable workforce and services. CHS seeks permanent Staff Specialists capable of generalist practice across Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with ability to develop special interests (including laparoscopic/endometriosis surgery) as part of the work schedule. Positions may be at Canberra Hospital and/or North Canberra Hospital.
The successful applicant must have RANZCOG Fellowship, excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and a drive for teaching and Quality Improvement. The role includes pro-rata on-call duties and inpatient management contributions.
Strong research links exist with ANU, University of Canberra and the Australian Catholic University. The hospital supports postgraduate teaching programs and a well-equipped medical library with online resources. A conjoint position with ANU at an academic level may be considered for the duration of CHS employment, subject to performance reviews. No remuneration is attached to the University position; the academic role is managed by the University on academic matters and by CHS for clinical/research matters.

Requirements
- Hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed Scope of Clinical Practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
