Ready to shape your future? mteSA is seeking a motivated individual to start a Certificate III in Solid Plastering with a local Mount Barker business, gaining hands‑on experience and nationally a recognised qualification in this high‑demands trade.
During your Apprenticeship, you will be provided with mentoring while you complete on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job training. We will provide ongoing support to help you achieve your career goals.
What will you be doing?
As a Plasterer Apprentice, you'll work on both commercial and residential worksites, assisting with producing, applying and fixing the internal linings of structures.
You will undertake a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:
* Assisting experienced tradespeople with plaster preparation and application
* Developing skills in all aspects of solid plastering
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Participating in on‑the‑job training and toolbox talks
* Working collaboratively with your team and following direction from senior tradespeople
* You must be team‑oriented and passionate about developing your skills and knowledge.

Does this sound like you?
Ideally, you will:
* Have a keen interest in the building and construction trades
* Have a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
* Demonstrate good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail
* Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
* Have a safe and reliable vehicle for travel between job sites around Adelaide
* Hold a current White Card
* Communicate effectively and show strong problem-solving skills
* Be punctual, well presented, and motivated to learn
* Take pride in your work and maintain a focus on safety
* Be physically fit with the ability to bend, kneel, lift, and carry materials
