About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Suppression Fire Technicians to join our CQ Team on a fly in, fly out basis from Brisbane. These positions include both float and site embedded roles, supporting open cut mine sites within the Bowen Basin.
In this hands on role, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing and maintenance of critical portable fire equipment, fire detection and suppression systems.
The position operates on a 7 on, 7 off roster, working 11 to 12.5 hour shifts, with flights between Brisbane and Mackay provided and a daily tax free meal allowance.

Experience and Qualifications
* Sound knowledge or willingness to learn Australian Standards (including AS
* Suppression or portables fire equipment experience or willing to learn
* Excellent workmanship, reliability, attention to detail and ability to work in a team
* A high standard of safety and a commitment to continual improvement
* An ability to work independently with a high level of communication and customer service skills
* An ability to prioritise and arrange service tasks and accurately complete service related documentation
* Manual Drivers Licence
Desirable (or willing to obtain prior to commencing):
* Certificates under FPAA's Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme (FPAS)
* Current Standard 11
* Current Section 4 Medical
* Work at Heights Certification
* Confined Spaces Certification
* Provide First Aid Certification
* QBCC Licence
