The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and Senior Leadership Team, leading the People function across all facets of the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for building a scalable and high-performing HR strategy that supports organisational growth, culture, leadership, and capability development in a complex scientific and engineering environment.
You are a hands-on, progressive HR and Talent Acquisition leader with experience in fast-paced, high-growth, and technically complex environments. You bring a thoughtful, people-first approach, balanced with the rigour and strategic alignment required in a scale-up. Equally confident in coaching executives and designing people systems from the ground up, you thrive in ambiguity, lead with integrity, and are energised by SQC's ambitious vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a scalable HR strategy aligned with company objectives
* Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organisational capability initiatives
* Design performance management, career progression, and succession frameworks
* Champion culture, engagement, inclusion, and employee experience initiatives
* Advise leadership on org design, workforce strategy, and change management
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and ethical standards
* Oversee remuneration strategy including ESOP, benchmarking, and rewards
* Build and lead executive development and coaching programs
* Manage HR systems, analytics, and data-driven decision-making
* Lead and grow a high-performing HR team focused on excellence and service
Essential Experience
* 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in senior HR leadership
* Experience in scale-up, deep-tech, advanced manufacturing, or R&D environments
* Proven ability to build and lead people functions across talent, OD, and operations
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline
* Strategic mindset with ability to translate business goals into people priorities
* Trusted advisor to senior executives and board-level stakeholders
* Demonstrated success in shaping culture and driving organisational change
* High EQ, ethical leadership, and a passion for inclusive workplace practices
