As a Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with disabilities in shared housing or their own homes, providing various support services including personal care and daily living assistance.
Key Responsibilities
* Support clients with challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and respectful approach is maintained.
* Assist with daily personal care routines such as bathing, shaving, and toileting.
* Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
* Advocate for client choice and independence while ensuring safety is prioritized.
The ideal candidate will have:
* An unrestricted driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Experience working with personal care, medication assistance, and supporting clients in mental health and behavioral settings.
* A current First Aid Certificate that includes HLTAID003 or HLTAID011, or be willing to obtain one.
* Demonstrated proficiency in basic technology usage on mobile and desktop platforms.
