The proactive safety champion will play a pivotal role in fostering a prevention-focused culture across the Ballarat site.
* Leading the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of HSE management systems to ensure organisational compliance and excellence.
* Providing coaching, advisory support and practical risk management to site leaders to enhance their safety capabilities.
* Driving behavioural safety initiatives to develop a strong, engaged safety culture that promotes operational excellence.
* Conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations with a root-cause focus to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensuring adherence to WHS, environmental and food safety legislation and standards through rigorous monitoring and enforcement.
* Facilitating HSE training, inductions and capability-building programs to upskill staff and promote a culture of excellence.
* Monitoring injury management, early intervention and return-to-work processes to optimise employee well-being.
* Leveraging digital tools and data insights to analyse performance and inform strategic decisions to drive improvement initiatives.
* Contributing to broader sustainability, waste-reduction and environmental programs to reduce organisational impact.
