About the role
We are looking for a reliable and friendly Part-Time Bus Driver to join our team at The Community Transport Company in Tweed Heads, NSW. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey. This is a crucial role that contributes to the efficient and dependable public transport services we provide to the local community.
What you'll be doing:
· Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles according to traffic regulations and company policies
· Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, assisting with boarding, seating, and any special needs
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness
· Maintain accurate trip logs and records
· Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and respond promptly to any schedule changes or route modifications
· Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the passenger transport service
What we're looking for
· A current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license
· Previous experience as a professional bus or commercial vehicle driver, preferably in a public transport or community service setting
· Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, patient demeanor
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures and regulations
· Reliable and punctual, with a flexible approach to working hours
· Availability to work weekdays only as required for this part-time position
· Effective communication and problem-solving skills
· Australian work rights are required for this position
