Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
Manage containers for import/export, ensuring proper documentation, scheduling, and handling
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, factories, and internal teams to optimise logistics and production schedules
Coordinate and manage local freight movements to ensure timely delivery
Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls and emails from clients, including liaising on site delivery timeframes
Request and compare freight quotes for domestic and international movements
Track freight costs against budget for each project and report variances
Provide accurate freight quotations to support the Sales team
Prepare and manage import/export documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists
Update relevant project information and deliverables daily in Dynamics 365
Keep the Sales team informed on delivery status and project timelines
Liaise with the Accounts team and clients regarding progress claims, supplier due dates, and payment schedules
Build, manage, and grow relationships with new and existing freight providers to ensure competitive pricing
Organise delivery plans in conjunction with the Operations team for new projects
Attend and contribute to weekly Operations and Sales meetings
Continuously review and improve operational processes within the Operations team
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience coordinating local and international freight, including managing containers for import/export
Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills across multiple departments
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Driven, motivated, and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive, professional, and customer-focused, always presenting at a high standard
Willingness to travel as required
