About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our busy and dynamic Finance team. Working within a supportive firm, this role offers growth and career progression for the right person.

Key responsibilities

* Providing assistance with the collection of outstanding client monies owed to the firm.
* Processing and allocating incoming client invoice payments to the appropriate client and matters.
* Daily reconciliation of the firm's general bank account.
* Monitoring outstanding debtor balances and assisting with collection processes in accordance with the firm policies.
* Monitoring work in progress (WIP) matter balances to ensure such WIP (time) is recoverable and billable.
* Attending to client enquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
* Calculating outstanding WIP and debt lock up days as required.
* Preparing reports relating to receivables, collections and payment allocations as required.
* Maintaining accurate client account records to ensure all receipting documentation is properly recorded and filed.
* Collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
* Providing administrative support to the finance team and assisting colleagues when required.
* Performing other finance and administrative duties as required.
