Australian International Foods is a Food Manufacturer based in South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne that manufacture Chilled & Frozen, Snacks and Meals and supply to major retail chains & foodservice.
We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Technical Officer to join our team to assist with all QA/ QC functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for QA/ QC documentation & systems, supplier assurance programs, internal & external audit, quality performance monitoring, and corrective & preventive action systems.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintain, update, review and verify all related quality monitoring records.
• Perform real time quality control check of the products by ensuring all specification parameters are met at all times.
• Maintain and update Production Setting Spec Sheet, Product Quality Attribute Sheet, Work Instructions.
• Perform calibration activities for metal detector, check weighing scale, thermometer and other monitoring devices.
• QA/QC verification activities: Micro testing, Chemical testing, Allergen testing, Sensory evaluation.
• Investigation and responses to customer complaints.
• Developing staff training program on all related food safety and hygiene standards.
• Participate in all QA related internal and external audits and close out corrective actions within required deadlines.
• Developing new finished product specification and product labelling to ensuring compliance requirements are met.
• Manage Approved Supplier List including approved raw material and packaging supplier, and approved external contractors and services.
• Maintaining and improving existing Quality Management System to comply with HACCP, BRC, Coles, Aldi and Woolworth food safety certification requirements.
Qualifications & Experience required
• Qualification in Science, Food Science and Technology
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Standards.
• Familiarity with Australian Food Standard Code requirements.
• Experience in working in a high risk/ high care environment is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing environment
