Description
As the Payroll Team Lead, you will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction while driving innovation and team development.
* Lead, coach, and mentor the payroll team to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
* Support onboarding and training of new team members.
* Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities.
* Ensure accurate and timely payments, deductions, and statutory submissions.
* Review and approve payroll runs, reconciliations, and reports.
* Support year-end payroll processes.
* Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, awards, and tax obligations.
* Assist with audits and implement controls to mitigate risks.
* Maintain quality assurance and stay current with regulatory changes.
* Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
* Collaborate on system upgrades, testing, and integrations.
* Maintain payroll procedures and training documentation.
* Build cross functional relationships with HR, ER, Finance, and Operations.
Profile
* Leadership style: flexible, engaging, transparent, open/honest, and a bit of fun! Candidates who can build relationships and bring the team along the change management journey!
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
* Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with payroll systems and a passion for continuous improvement.
Job Offer
* $130,000 + superannuation (potential flex)
