About the Job
Reporting to the Director of Fine Wine, the On-Premise & Retail Sales Business Development Manager will represent the Fogarty Hall and Cellarhand (limited imported) brand portfolios to targeted local wholesale trade channels in WA, including fine wine on-premise venues, selected premium retailers, and at consumer and trade events. The role is field focused, hands-on, highly autonomous and you must be dedicated to support sales, distribution growth and execution of brand strategy. This is a flexible role based in Perth with occasional weekend work and regional travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish relationships with selected fine dining on-premise venues to sell in new listings and new releases.
* Manage relationships with selected premium independent retailers and premium national chain stores to support sales, promotions and secure new distributions.
* Develop new business leads and secure new distribution with a strong focus in the on-premise channel.
* Provide support to local wholesalers and assist their field teams when required.
* Maintain a call cycle, CRM database, prepare reports and attend sales and marketing meetings.
* Manage and report expenses in line with company policies.
About You
* Proven sales, customer and channel experience in the liquor/wine and/or on-premise industry (desirable).
* Proactive in identifying new opportunities and achieving business growth.
* Ability to manage relationships with key customers.
* Focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong, communication, negotiation and promotional planning skills.
* Self-motivated, disciplined and driven.
* Valid drivers licence (essential).
* High standard of personal presentation.
* RSA certification.
This is a highly autonomous role with minimal daily supervision. The role is Perth based, working 'on the road', from home and with support available at head office in West Perth.
