About the role
Reporting to the Telecommunications OT Manager, the Network OT Specialist - Telecommunications is responsible for the day-to-day performance and operation of the telecommunications OT network within agreed business service levels. The position is responsible for the detailed design, implementation and documentation of changes and enhancements to Essential Energy's Telecommunications OT assets.
The role is responsible for the complete lifecycle and performance of Telecommunications OT assets and ensuring network components remain in a supportable state and for monitoring key legislation, industry standards, technology trends, researching and developing changes to support the design and use of these technologies and systems.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need extensive experience in a similar communications position in a large geographically diverse company, project management and advanced technical experience in design technologies and best practices used in the telecommunications industry; including remote data communications, voice radio network, interfacing and supporting systems. Advanced knowledge and experience of the challenges associated with Telecommunication asset lifecycle management across a large geographic region is important.
You will have advanced skills in operating and designing Telecommunications infrastructure asset changes, upgrades and enhancements, across all operational technology areas and skills in creating, reviewing and implementing processes and procedures to cater for the operation and design of the OT network.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications Network Engineering or demonstrated capability through past employment experience.
