Ardent Medical is a medical group that provides primary care services to the Australian aged care sector.
We are expanding our operations and are seeking experienced VR General Practitioners (preferably with aged care experience) to join our team of medical practitioners to provide telehealth and primary care services to our customers in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).
Our customers comprise of both public and private aged care operators with a national footprint.We are seeking VR GPs based in Adelaide or Gawler to service a home in Gawler.
Approximately 8 to 12 hours per week.About the Role This role will see the successful candidate:solely focused on providing primary care services to residents of RACFsprovide primary care services which includes:taking medical historyundertaking clinical examinationarranging any necessary investigationsimplementing a management planproviding appropriate preventive health careconduct regular reviews and follow ups with aged care residentscontribution to health assessments and medication management for new resident admissionsperform annual health assessment reviews for existing residentsreview multidisciplinary care plans and participate in case conferences when neededFull Operational Support You will be supported by our administration staff day-to-day on all administrative and IT related matters.
This will allow you to focus on clinical tasks and patient care.No After-hours Requirements All after-hour calls made by the RACFs will be directed to our medical deputising service who will be responsible for taking the calls and provide the appropriate advice.
Notes and actions taken will be recorded on our patient management system for your review when you are back at work.
This will ensure you have adequate work life balance and have your time away from work undisturbed.The successful candidate:is an unrestricted Vocationally Registered (VR) - FRACGP or FACRRM is preferred or is a restricted VR doctor under moratoriumis currently AHPRA registered and is permitted to work in Australiais able to apply for a Medicare Provider Numbermust have their own professional indemnity insurance (a copy of your policy must be provided to Ardent Medical for record purposes)a great attitude and able to work under the guidance of our Senior Medical Officeris committed to the company and a team playerhas basic computer knowledge and good social and communication skillsWhat you need to do to apply If you are interested in finding out more about the role, speak to our team of doctors and get an insight into our service model.
