We represent a highly regarded national Insurance practice recognized for its expertise in statutory classes and personal injury litigation. The Sydney-based team acts for insurers, self-insured clients, specialised insurers, and regulators, providing complex litigation and advisory services across multiple jurisdictions.
The Role
You'll be involved in a wide variety of insurance matters, including:
Managing complex trial and appeal litigation in the Supreme Court, District Court, and Personal Injury Commission
Advising clients on liability, strategy, risk management, and policy coverage issues
Drafting court documents and providing high-quality legal advice
Negotiating commercial outcomes for clients
Collaborating closely with Partners, junior lawyers, and external Counsel
About You
You will have at least 5 years' post-admission experience with:
Proven success in defending employers and insurers in industrial common law negligence claims
Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to balance legal and commercial considerations in client-focused advice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive approach and a willingness to mentor junior lawyers
