Coordinate with the CM Manager and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic outlook.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the CM process, including establishing priorities and work tasks.
Provide strategic planning to achieve program outcomes.
Responsible for continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, methods, and techniques.
Facilitate Configuration Management Audits.
Control changes against the approved baseline and implement changes as approved.
Ensure all information within the CM database is accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure daily tasks are conducted according to the configuration management plan.
Your Expertise
At least 5 years’ experience in a configuration management role, preferably with Defence experience.
Formal Configuration Management training.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools.
Knowledge of Configuration Management principles, plans, procedures, and processes.
Strong management skills and team-building capability.
Ability to share Configuration Management knowledge with the wider Austal team.
Due to the security clearance required for this position, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
