About the Role
The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible in performing all cleaning tasks, which includes decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment. Maintains a safe, clean Ward/Unit setting in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
Successful applicants will be rostered 4 weeks in advance across these shifts throughout the week
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Perform all cleaning tasks, which includes decontamination of beds and cleaning of bathroom, rooms, work Area, Tile Cleaning, Cleanup tools, Room Cleaning, Professional Cleaning, Wet Cleaning.
- Your duties also consist of moving patients and other Orderly tasks within the hospital.
- Recognise the “Ramsay Way” providing care and commitment. Support the organisational Environmental goals in performance of all duties.
Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster is essential for this role.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated and work effectively under the direction of the Environmental Services Team Leader.
The successful candidate will also meet the following:
- Demonstrated experience in a Hospitality/ Healthcare Cleaning.
- High level of personal presentation and adhering to uniform policy.
- High level of cleaning skills and chemical usage including Knowledge and Understanding of material data safety sheets.
- Good communication skills to interact with patients, visitors and colleagues
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $28.71 + superannuation + experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
