ABOUT THE BRANCH
The Procurement Policy and Systems Branch (PPSB) will drive effective, efficient, economic and ethical procurement across the Australian Government by focusing on providing targeted advice, improving the policy framework, enhancing transparency and implementing systems to support streamlined procurement.
The Branch:
* Supports Commonwealth entities to undertake effective procurements and deliver their objectives through the procurement framework;
* Ensures the Commonwealth Procurement Framework appropriately captures Australia's international government procurement obligations
* Supports public transparency of grants and procurement information and provides stakeholders with meaningful data to drive behaviour change
* Drives improved procurement processes, information and reporting through the development of and enhancement of ICT systems and tools
* Engages with suppliers, state and territory, Commonwealth and International entities to maintain a best practice Commonwealth Procurement Framework
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Core duties of the role include:
* Coordinating with internal teams across various branches to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the Department's goals for delivering an Whole of Government ICT Solution
* Providing strategic advice to senior management on stakeholder engagement and communications matters
* Developing high-quality written project materials, including executive briefs, procurement and planning documents, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation such as data catalogues and system process maps
* Collaborating with business areas and ICT developers to refine human-centred ICT processes, support business practices, and deliver fit-for purpose solutions, while also managing a team of project support officers.
