**Team Leader - Food Production**
Our client is A market leader that produces and imports a wide range of food products that cater to both retailer and food service channels. We are currently seeking a Team Leader
- Food Production to oversee the production team and ensure the smooth operation of the food manufacturing processes.
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Assign the location of production staff during production.
- Ensure that all production staff comply with the company dress code.
- Ensure that all FTG procedures, specifications, and policies are always adhered to.
- Communicate with staff to ensure that all relevant information is relayed effectively and consistently.
- Ensure all customer deadlines and specifications are always met and notify of any exceptions.
- Ensure products are being made according to their recipes/specifications.
- Check that all ingredients and packaging have been stored in the correct location and in an orderly fashion.
- Ensure labels are correct, accurate, and up to date.
- Carry out daily quality GMP checks.
- Ensure lines are set up and sanitized.
- Ensure cleanliness of factory and office at end of day
- Ensure belts and floor are cleaned, food put away and rubbish removed at regular intervals and before breaks.
- Some heavy lifting is required.
**Key Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications**
- Proven ability to lead and coach team members.
- The ability to provide clear orders and instructions to team members.
- Must have food processing experience, machine operating, and knife skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.
- The ability to have the initiative to seek out work with limited directions
- Solid attention to detail
- Knowledge of hygiene, and food safety procedures as well as HACCP principles and procedures
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement principles
- Proven time management skills
- Develop continuous improvement projects and see them through to completion.
- Be committed, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
**Schedule**:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shifts
- 6am -2pm
