About the Role
* Develop and implement menu plans that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure they meet their full potential.
* Foster strong relationships with colleagues and clients to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
* Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute events and functions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan and prepare meals for a busy cafeteria and café setting.
* Design and implement new menu items, including hot and cold beverages, pastries, and freshly cooked pizzas.
* Coordinate catering services for special events and requests.
* Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
* Ensure the kitchen is well-maintained and compliant with food safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Possess a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrate a passion for healthy and nutritious food, as well as a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
* Be physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
* Familiarity with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
