About the role
CEC is currently seeking qualified Mining Electricians in the NSW Muswellbrook area. We have permanent positions available on crew and day shift rosters as below.
Position 1
Muswellbrook area.
Mining Electrician CHPP crew role.
Lifestyle roster
Position 2
Muswellbrook area.
Mining Electrician CHPP maintenance role.
Roster: Monday to Friday day shift 5 day work week
Company vehicle provided.
We will highly consider training electricians with Industrial and Commercial installation experience for this position.
Position 3
Singleton area
Mining Electrician Open Cut heavy crew role.
Roster: 2 panel all dayshift, 12-hour shifts working every second weekend.
Experience on the following is essential……..
1. Electric face shovels.
2. Excavators
3. Drills.
Position 4
Singleton area
Mining Electrician Open Cut maintenance role.
Singleton area.
Roster: Monday to Friday day shift 4 day work week.
Company vehicle provided.
We will highly consider training electricians with Industrial and Commercial installation experience for this position.
Key Responsibilities may include:
Electrical fault finding, plant repairs & maintenance, electrical installations, HV/ LV switch room maintenance and inspections, Mining plant and machine maintenance, Infrastructure Inspections and maintenance, plant breakdown repairs and maintenance to High voltage and Low Voltage electrical apparatus. Electrical installations and commissioning. High Voltage Maintenance/Breakdown on excavators and drill rigs.
Skills and experience
Essential requirements:
* A committed attitude towards safety
* The ability to learn new skills
* The ability to work autonomously or as part of a group
* Trade Certificate and Certificate of Proficiency
* 1+ years post apprenticeship experience
* Capacity to pass Order 43 Medical
* Electrical license
Preferred but not Essential:
* EWP Working at Heights
* CHPP Infrastructure maintenance and operation experience
* HV Switching Ticket and experience.
* CPR, Low Voltage Rescue & Resuscitation
* EMDEE Orange Card
* PLC/Instrumentation experience
* Mine Site experience
* Auto electrical experience
* Experience working on Excavators and Drill rigs
