Employment Coach Role
Making a real difference in the lives of people with disability is a crucial aspect of this position. The goal is to support individuals with disability, injury, or health conditions to prepare for and thrive in meaningful employment.
This role involves providing tailored support to participants, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and connect with inclusive employers. Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering personalized coaching and employment assistance.
* Developing and managing individualized employment plans that cater to diverse needs.
* Facilitating job readiness training and career development to enhance employability.
* Engaging with employers to identify opportunities and provide workplace adjustments that promote inclusivity.
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse participants. Knowledge of inclusive employment practices and workplace accommodations is also essential.
Candidates must have a minimum qualification of Certificate III or IV in Community Services or an equivalent qualification. Working in a supportive team and having access to ongoing training and development are significant benefits of taking on this role.
