Job Description
You will provide after-hours crisis response to young people (12-17 years) in suicidal distress, including crisis response, psychosocial support, safety planning, and community referral.
You will work within Safe Havens at Macquarie Hospital, Brookvale Community Health Centre, and Youth Response Team in North Ryde and Mona Vale.
You will deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed clinical care, supporting step-up/step-down care models.
You will collaborate with the Towards Zero Suicide group for model development and clinical practice improvement.
You will work autonomously with minimal supervision, utilizing extensive specialist knowledge in youth mental health crises.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You will need qualifications in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or Occupational Therapy, with registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA or AASW.
You will require postgraduate clinical experience in mental health; Psychologists require a relevant Master's degree; Allied Health require Level 2 experience or equivalent.
Nursing candidates need relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years of clinical experience.
