The Role
Elliot Gardens is a stunning retirement community right in the heart of Port Elliot. It offers luxurious retirement living options with shops, parks, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a welcoming community that offers elegant and comfortable living ensuring every resident lives an exceptional lifestyle. We are seeking an experienced and customer focused Gardener to look after our Elliot Gardens Retirement Village working Mondays to Fridays, on a permanent full-time basis.
In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the maintenance of common garden areas including whipper snipping, weeding, pruning, picking up leaves/rubbish, green waste management, and tools/equipment maintenance. From time to time you may be required to attend to some basic handyman jobs as well as providing meaningful and professional service whilst working within residents' homes and communal facilities.
Your Background- Current Australian Drivers Licence- Demonstrated Gardening knowledge of plants, growth patterns, safe work practices for fertilisers and other chemicals- Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job- Organisation skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks whilst working independently- Knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety legislation- Customer relationship skills, with a genuine interest in assisting and working with the Elderly.

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October.
