About the role:
* Part-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per fortnight)
* Location options – Port Augusta or Whyalla
The Indigenous Health Project Officer will review and guide Integrated Team Care (ITC) activities and deliver projects aligned with the aims of ITC, including:
* Contributing to closing the gap in life expectancy by improving access to culturally appropriate primary care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including general practice, allied health, and specialists.
About You:
* Qualifications, skills, and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Experience in primary health settings with knowledge of general practice, primary health care, and social and emotional well-being needs of Indigenous peoples.
* Exceptional ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, plan, and problem-solve with stakeholders.
* Experience delivering or coordinating culturally appropriate training and quality improvement activities.
* Ability to coordinate community education or health promotion events, such as community days, website content, conference presentations, and participation in reference groups.
