Role Responsibilities
The Team Leader will provide leadership, management, and accountability for staff within the MHDA and Intellectual Disability Team. Responsibilities include ensuring clinical practice aligns with evidence-based standards, managing operational aspects of the team, and ensuring high-quality, timely care. The role involves liaising with internal and external service providers for seamless care coordination. The incumbent will also carry a clinical caseload, actively participating in assessments and therapeutic interventions.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work, eligible for AASW membership, with extensive clinical experience, including as a Level 2 Social Worker or equivalent.
* Comprehensive understanding of the impact of specialist care for individuals with intellectual disability and MHDA issues, within community and NDIS frameworks.
* Advanced clinical skills in assessment, management planning, and service improvement for intellectual disability and mental health conditions.
* Effective communication and leadership skills to enhance team knowledge and foster person-centered care pathways for consumers with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
